Re: "EPIMs of the Net"

I'm knocked out by a fairly new bit of freeware called Backup Folder Sync which makes mirrors of your files, and seems to be little known yet. At the start it presents you with a tree of the folders on your hard drives, and you simply right-click to add the ones you want to back up: documents, photo...

New font for 4.5

Version history for Version 4.5 states, "Improved: New font for EssentialPIM overall interface". Well, the new font looks a bit weak and thin on my 10in screen netbook, and in my opinion is certainly a step backwards compared with what it was like prior to the update. I was quite happy wit...

Re: Position of text when opening a note

Was quite looking forward to the implimentation of the fix. Updated today to 4.5 Free. Long notes still open halfway down instead of at the top of the note, just as before. I've tried scrolling them to the top before closing them, both in right-hand pane mode and full screen view, I've tried restart...

Header problem with Export

I don't know if this has been raised previously, I was unable to find by searching. I've been exporting several Notes lately, something I've not done before, and I have found that I always get a header at the top of the resulting document, regardless of whether I have selected "Include headers&...

Re: Is this a bug in Notes?

Oh, I just had a quick try and I can't reproduce it again either.

I assure you it did happen earlier today as I described!

I will try again tomorrow when I have a bit more time, maybe I'll type the original note again, and if it happens again I'll be ready to make a screen shot to post.

Is this a bug in Notes?

Hi, I'm not sure if this is a bug or just something that could perhaps be improved: If I am typing on a Note using a different colour text, and I hit the Enter button on my keyboard with the intention of starting a new sentence on the next line down, the new sentence is in black text instead of the ...

Position of text when opening a note

When I open a note that contains a lot of text, the page always opens in the middle or the bottom of the block of text. It makes no difference whether I am viewing the note in the right-hand pane next to the list of notes, or whether I have double-clicked to display the note full-screen. This only h...

Too many backups

Searching through the files on my netbook just now, I discovered I have no fewer than 21 backups of my EssentialPIM database, at 2.2 MB each. It has been creating one or two a day since 26 June, which was the day I was reunited with my netbook after a two-weeks holiday without it. Each file is named...

Calandar: Month view

Is it possible to include an option to have the Month view return to the current month after it has been used to look at a future month? To clarify: My default view is Today. If I open the Calendar module, it opens on the current month, June. If I scroll forward on the Calendar to, say, August, and ...

Re: Another glitch experienced with Epim Free 4.21

Thanks for the tip, Max. I have EPIM set to minimize on close, so it's easy to forget it's on when I shut down. However, the problem hasn't reoccurred in the meantime. I wish you could fix the "Thanks" counter that appears on the right of the posts in this forum. It says I've given zero bu...

Re: reminder of holidays

You must be referring to what comes with UK's Kalendar? That is what I used to use before I switched to EssentialPIM. Well, it is easy to add your national holidays to EPIM. The ones that are fixed dates, you set them to repeat "never ending" so they will show each year, while it only take...

Another glitch experienced with Epim Free 4.21

Starting EPIM in my usual way this morning, using the shortcut I have placed on my taskbar, it opened with the Test database instead of my data. It didn't take me long to find and open the correct database, but everything on EPIM has reverted to default and now I must reset column widths and all of ...
