Re: Birthday suggestion
However, there is something I really miss in the program. ... a programmable alarm for them. ... Yes, it should be a MUST: A daily notification for the birthdays of this and the following days. Maybe there could be a page like "Today" in Outlook which could be shown after the first start ...

...it is very dissapointing to hear such accusations from EPIM user... Thank you Maksim for your answer and I wish this is the absolute truth. If I use a program I want to be sure I can use it tomorrow too. That's why I want to know all around it and I can be sure there are no frictions between dev...

What is faithful?
Hi, sometime ago we all started work on a PIM. Later on the teams split up, each having different view, so you can see the result:) EPIM is not actually the same product, it does have many internal differences, due to the fact being now developed by different people. Hope I have answered the questi...

Re: some suggestions (different issues)
4. Is it possible to differentiate my contacts? I have three categories: business, personal, family & friends. I have over 300 of them and I am already lost. I think that sorting contacts according to their categories would be pretty cool. Many good ideas I think. Item 4. I did it so: I added a...

Discredit about EPIM or too well done for free of charge?
In a forum about EPIM on a website of PCWELT http://www.pcwelt.de/forum/showthread.php?t=148064 I found the following remarks: "Hab ich da irgendwas überlesen? Ich frag mich nämlich, was der Grund sein kann, eine umfangreichere Software zu entwickeln, die man auch verkaufen könnte, und sie d...

Re: "EPIMs of the Net"
Do you know more discoveries like the above? Thanks, yokozuna, for your hint with "FastStone". I know VallenJpegger, Irfanview, ACDSee V7, Thumbs Plus and so on. But after 10 minutes I think FastStone will be the very best - very quick, very small, very good to work with it - fantastic! H...

Re: EPIM as a container for other files?
... What do you think about it? I think: We should pay attention EPIM not to make a 'Jack of all trades' - we in German say "eierlegende Wollmilchsau" in Englisch perhaps a "egg-laying wool-milk-sow"! EPIM should make many things, but not all. It should be small and quick, this ...

Winfried, try creating a new database, adding a contact or two with 1950's birthdates, then uploading the database. I'll then open it on my NT machine, and see what happens.
