My suggestion would be to release this bug fix as soon as possible as it can potentially lose your customers data on a broad scale.

Try to look into: C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\EssentialPIM Pro I think that's where it is created if you don't specify another place. No, there's no error messages at all.
And sending emails still worked. They would simply not be shown in EPIM afterwards. The Synch-window just disappears after all streams light up green.
