Re: POLL: e-mail improvement suggestions
1) Support for Local Folders, so I can store emails on my local hard drive without leaving them on the server. 2) Thunderbird has an elegant way to combine certain folders like Sent, Inbox, Trash, Spam, etc. when dealing with multiple accounts, it would be helpful if EPIM did this. FWIW: also +1 fr...

Re: Check for new messages every not enabled by default
With IDLE turned on by default, there's no need to additionally sync mail every x minutes as this will only place an extra load to the mail server without actually bringing any benefits. True I challenge you to find an email server where IDLE isn't supported :) I don't think I pick that challenge :...

Check for new messages every not enabled by default
Follow-up on https://www.essentialpim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35995 Still looking around for what might be the cause of the issue. I notice that imap pull request 'Check for new messages ever' being disabled (not pre-defined interval). Whereas 'Get new messages instantly (IDLE support) bei...

Re: Desktop notification or log if e-mail sync sending/receiving failing
When there's an issue, EPIM automatically shows the Send&Receive dialog window with the error message shown besides an account that's experiencing problems. Thanks for quick reply. Working with second hand information, which makes it surely harder to grasp the issue. However I do now that the s...

Desktop notification or log if e-mail sync sending/receiving failing
EssentialPIM has the has the habit of silently failing on/send receive actions. The server is properly configured. It might be: * an error at the server side * internet connection issue However without an desktop notification or a dialog you have no clue about the error code. And well I installed Es...

Re: IMAP with last 90 days on server and the rest offline on local storage
I even forgot to mention * Account - web* mail - hacking. Makes a difference of having access to 90 days, or whole history * Connection stability etc. In somewhat of a paranoia mode today  And well, local mode equals 'offline' mode. And prefer to have access to my 'e-mails' and not depending o...

IMAP with last 90 days on server and the rest offline on local storage
I'm having a habit of 'archiving' my whole e-mail history. Only that much goes to trash. Which means I'm building up pretty big collection of e-mails over the years. With the luxury that inbox sizes keep expanding; so never run into 'hard' wall. However there a some reasons to have 'most recent' stu...

Test builds 2021.04.06
Only inquiry. I pretty used to using test builds. And viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35945 shows there are. But not sure how this normally works. As there normally is some some kind of change log or list of bugs which got addressed. So think I'm missing out on some things

Re: Migration of inbox to different e-mailhosting provider
You can add the new mail account into EPIM, select messages you wish to copy from the old account, then right click->Copy to Folder and choose a folder from the newly added account. I truly never consider copy/pasting being possible with e-mailclients. Only thought about this in send/receive. It's ...

Migration of inbox to different e-mailhosting provider
Not a issue at present. But do ask myself how do I move my local messages again to the 'cloud'. So to server of different hosting company. If have had to experience already where my current hosting provider was out of service. A somewhat successful hack of the infrastructure and one where the closed...

Project Management Timeline
Not sure who uses EssentialPIM and how it's being being used. But well there is calendar, agenda notes and e-mail.. A project management timeline might be nice addition. It more a visual representation of todo list. Or ideal to make a project planning. Which is 'connected to e-mail (emails about pro...

Re: Warning in case of identical note titles
Well, I think the best solution at the moment would be to not change anything related to the feature. I don't think this should off the table in a whole (but not even sure if that's the actual message). However needs some thinking (arguing) about solution. There are surely number of cases where the...

Re: Warning in case of identical note titles
Please make this optional, one of the great things about EPIM is being able to have a lot of notes with the same name, and it would get really annoying fast to be warned about each and every one of them. Related to this: I think it should be more like an info tooltip. Optional sounds like you can i...
