Have you tried a manual updated instead of using the auto-update? Eg: Download the installer and install it as portable into the same folder your current portable is installed in. I can confirm the issues following the steps listed. My scaling is set to 150%, still happens on 100% scale for me.
Also still happens on a new portable copy, with a new database.
