How to turn off/remove the preview pop-up in mail?

Is there a way to turn off the preview pop-up that you get when you hover over an email in the list? It is really annoying and it obscures the other emails in the list. I really does not help - it just creates a problem. I have been going through the settings, but I am not able to find anything that...

Re: Timezone setting for contacts and calendar

Still no such feature. I do not think there is any other way than doing it manually. With EPIM on laptops and portable versions on memory sticks, it is easier than ever to travel with EPIM. And the possibility for everything to get seriously messed up is absolutely present when you get back from a ...

EPIM using Ubuntu Server 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex)

Installing EPIM on Ubuntu Server 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) First of all: My server is set up in a "sequre" environment. This means that it is behind a firewall and there are no ports forwarded to any machines behind the firewall. So I am a little less concerned with security on this server than...

Re: Timezone setting for contacts and calendar

I am looking through the 2.8beta1 and can still not find any setting for timezone in an appointment. Is it still missing, or maybe I am a little bit confused (it is getting late in Brazil). My scenario now is very real - I am living in Brazil, have customers here and in Europe. Communicate with peop...

Plaxo revisited

I did a search for Plaxo and could not find any new threads on this subject, so I thought I would bring it up again. A lot has happened the last year, and Plaxo has an API that noe only include contacts: http://www.plaxo.com/api But you would have to contact them to get to that part of it. Are there...

I will try to give you scenarios for both contact and for calendar. Contacts: I frequently call people in other timezones. And to avoid calling them outside bedtime hours it would be nice to have the possibility to mark each contact with timezone, then display a clock that is showing their local tim...

Timezone setting for contacts and calendar

We live in a world where people travel and communicate across timezones more and more. When I look up a contact to call him/her, it would be nice to easily see the time at this persons home. As well, when I make an appointment, it would be nice to do this in destination time and timezone and let EPI...

Sounds great! I am an experienced betatester. Would you be interested in help on betatesting EPIM? My contactdatabase is in the 1000+ range, I travel a lot and rely on correct contactinfo for my income. I have also left a comment regarding some way to sync using an ftp server and want to add a reque...

This is the other major thing for me in a PIM - sync several devices using a normal online server. Preferrably an ftp server. Why not skip the compression part and just set a flag in the database when it is synced? This way you can keep the update to stuff that has changed. This would also be the pe...

Is it really a problem? As far as I know, this is the ONLY system that is fairly widespread and allow people to keep their addressbook updated automatically. I have a lot of contacts, and with the speed people move, change e-mail address, change workplace and change mobile phone numbers, this servic...
