Re: Recover a single email or attachment
Well, that was simple. Thanks. Too bad I deleted the attachments for doing that backup. However, I do have an hourly cloud backup I can use.

Recover a single email or attachment
I deleted a single email's attachments. It was a mistake. Is there a tool to access my backup and file the files and recover them?

Re: Emailmodule
Steve, what I find 'obvious' is, to be able to use data in a mail module, which is there in the app anyway. Say mail addresses in contacts or other data that I want to link to and which is stored in AEPIM. I guess it is largely my use case that makes it worthless. I work at my office each day and d...

Re: Emailmodule
Poet-man, you keep saying it is obvious. You are asked what features. You say, "it is obvious." Well it is not obvious. I use IMAP. My android mail app is not "storing my emails." They are all stored in EPIM on the desktop and at my email service. I check emails from my tablet. T...

Re: Data lost...
A little late, but a good preventative is a good UPS which should also preserve the life of you PC. I also have hourly backups using Idrive, which keeps previous versions, and daily backups with previous version to a local drive, plus daily backups made by essential pim and backups of those backups....

Re: EPIM creates identical tasks, can't delete a single task
I don't know about the free version, but for the regular version the new task form has a Repeat every box on the left for tasks that you want to repeat. If it is unchecked, you shouldn't get multiples. Under View, I have a Hide completed, shortcut CTRL-H If you don't have that, perhaps it is paid ve...

Re: Sync error after completing a task
Interesting. I'm still on 11.7.1 on windows, but using a beta for android that fixed it for me.

Backup stopped!!!
I was checking my backups and EPIM stopped making them on Sep 29. Somehow my options had been changed from backup to don't backup! Also from my backup folder on my data drive, to the program folder on the C drive. I worry that this occurred during an update. I can't remember recently going into opti...

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
OK, tested it. On samsung tablet the test version worked perfectly, twice. On the Moto G phone, It gave a lost connection error the first time, but then did the sync perfectly twice afterwards. I looked this time, and the tasks appear to include entire emails with lots of blank lines when I linked t...

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
Done. I didn't realize the log only contained a single sync attempt. Here's one from my phone that just failed with tasks included again.

Re: Sync error after completing a task
This is either the same or at least related to my issue posted earlier today. I can sync only if tasks are not synced.

desktop / android sync fails with tasks
I Had a failure to sync last night with my desktop to Samsung Tablet. Checked and had problem with phone (Moto G) as well. Didn't have time to deal with it. Sent logs from phone and tablet as per program request. Today, restarted EPim (Windows), and it offered an update to 11.7.1. Sync still didn't ...

Re: Local WiFi sync not working again
Here are some of my experiences syncing local both a Moto G phone and a samsung tablet. 1. Be sure you are on the SAME network. You can't be on guest network with computer on home network. 2. Windows EPIM must be restarted about weekly or it gets weird and sometimes sync fails. 3. My phone always sy...

Re: Should we delete old stuff?
Thanks for the archive suggestion. Seems like the best case for me. I started writing desktop program code before DOS (CPM)! At that time, desktop databases could get to be too large and problems could ensue theoretically. So, for example, we were told not to let the inbox in Thunderbird get too lar...

Should we delete old stuff?
I've got a basic policy of keeping things somewhat neat and tidy. So, I imagine I should delete last year's completed tasks and calendar events before I end up saving many years of them. It is July now. I don't need tasks from last year or calendar events from 2021. 1. Is this at all useful? 2. Is i...
