Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

This problem is getting worse, and I'm having trouble keeping up. Following my comment a couple of days ago, I started the process of selecting no-category events in WEPIM, and re-categorizing them. This was in preparation for re-installing AEPIM, and re-syncing a clean and correct database from WEP...

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

Thank you. I really like EPIM - but there are several features that execute immediately without any previous or concurrent notification as to what the action is, nor how one might recover. This is, unfortunately, another such example. I deliberately chose an unimportant event - EG a public holiday i...

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

Best way to do that would probably be in the Agenda view, where you can filter out events without categories, select them and then assign the desired category. This may be obvious, but I can't figure it out. * Selected Agenda View * Sorted by category. But this isn't the best way - there's a left-c...

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

I haven't yet got to the stage of fixing this - but when I do, I will have a set of no-category events that should be re-categorized.
Is there a "select-all" process for "no-category" events where I can change all of them to a regular category?

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

For clarity, is the preceding post addressed to poet-man, or should I also try this?
Otherwise I'll wait for follow-up to recent PMs.

Re: Wrong categories after sync with EPIM for Android v6.0.9!

I've just "submitted" 2 PMs. Although they reported as "sent", they're both still in my Outbox, and they're not in my Sent messages. Is that correct behaviour? Here's the answer, from 2018! https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?p=15046451 Messages in the outbox are pms t...

Re: Wrong categories after sync with EPIM for Android v6.0.9!

In the category that was fully corrected after renaming and synching, newly-created events are properly categorized at AEPIM. In the category that wasn't corrected after renaming and synching, newly-created events are properly categorized at AEPIM. But events created after the problem arose, but bef...

Re: Wrong categories after sync with EPIM for Android v6.0.9!

Please manually adjust (rename) the categories on either of the sides (WinEPIM or Android EPIM), then start synchronization and all should be back to normal afterwards. For me - this worked for the first category I changed (at WEPIM). Recent events in that category are now correctly categorized at ...

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

Here's another one, from the last hour or so: On WEPIM, I created a new appointment by copying another one (Ctrl + mouse drag). It maintained the same category. It is a different category to the ones affected earlier. When I later opened AEPIM, it had auto-synched, and that new appointment was in a ...

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

I've just discovered another change, to a different category I don't use very often, but I did use it about 3 weeks ago. I created an appointment with that category, almost certainly in WEPIM. It must have displayed correctly, otherwise I would have noticed. Subsequently, that category disappeared i...

Re: Categories duplicated/messed up after sync wepim/aepim

This also happened to me. All recent appointments in just one category were changed to another category in AEPIM - which I only noticed because it has a different colour. Earlier appointments in that same category are unchanged. I had previously changed the order of categories at WEPIM - I'm not sur...

Re: Can I edit the default setting of Contact Fields?

A belated follow-up. I think the heavy CPU usage may have been related to the size of the DB / the considerable volume of email in it. I eventually re-created a new DB by a one-way sync from my tablet, and thus it didn't have email. That worked fine, the DB is much smaller, and there's no heavy CPU ...
