Re: Copying Mail Address or pressing Delete in Compose Freezes PIM
Suspect the parent window is hijacking the copy/paste functions of the child window. I've not noticed it deleting any e-mails or folders from the parent when I press delete in the child though.

Re: Copying Mail Address or pressing Delete in Compose Freezes PIM
Installed it on an old netbook to experiment. Took it awhile, but it does happen on the Win7 32-bit system there as well. I noticed right clicking and then selecting copy/paste does not trip it. I suppose I could get into the habit of doing that, but it does nothing for my new found fear of the dele...

Re: Copying Mail Address or pressing Delete in Compose Freezes PIM
Copying anything in the address or reply bar does it, possibly the compose area too - it doesn't have to be an e-mail. I also, just testing, made it lock up copying my own e-mail address in the alert notice I got for your post. (Guess I'll send that one.) Not sure if the e-mail received has to be ne...

Re: Copying Mail Address or pressing Delete in Compose Freezes PIM
Alright, here's vid, in actual usage, rather than deliberate effort to trigger it (masked e-mails): https://youtu.be/HZ1Q8jAxPk0 Locks for about a minute here, but sometimes goes on for five or more... Not seeing anything in the Event Viewer. Didn't check the task manager during this lockup, but Ess...

Re: Copying Mail Address or pressing Delete in Compose Freezes PIM
Hello, in order for us to be able to reproduce the issue,- could you please post a screenshot- how you copy the e-mail address? So far I was not able to reproduce the issue, unfortunately. I'm... Not sure how I'm going to post a screenshot of a lock up. I shall endeavor to create a video, though th...

Copying Mail Address or pressing Delete in Compose Freezes PIM
Whenever I try to copy an e-mail address via Ctrl+C, or use the Delete key while composing an e-mail, EssentialPIM freezes for several minutes, while throttling the HDD. This has been going on for years now, just been putting up with it and usually composing outside of PIM, then pasting in, but it's...

Essential PM dies on launch
Just today, after a year or so of use, EssentialPIM started crashing on launch. It does a consistency check, flashes open for a brief second, then closes. My mail data base and rules are rather large. The "main.epim" it is trying to load is is 291MB. Dunno if this can be a factor. It's cre...

Re: POLL: e-mail improvement suggestions
This is the only e-mail client I have that can handle all my accounts and my gigantic hotmail account, thus I am stuck using it, and given that ability, I shouldn't complain, but there's been a dozen patches since I started using, and I've yet to see: • Ability to block images (as a result, my spam ...

Re: [bug] Message Rules - Can't sort by different Mail Accou
Well, I've been looking around on your forum, and it seems this is not the first report of this problem, and you've indeed been aware of it for quite some time... Seems none of the filters with elements work. So... I'm guessing either the database isn't storing these indexes, or it isn't being read ...

Re: [bug] Message Rules - Can't sort by different Mail Accou
Eh, alright, these two e-mails are sacrificial spam catchers so... Note the auto-name is correct, and gets at what I'm trying to get it to do... http://www.thothie.com/random/essentialfail_before.gif wasd account mail to go to wasd folder... But... What it actually does, and what it looks like after...

Re: [bug] Message Rules - Can't sort by different Mail Accou
Eh... Sure... Just as soon as I think of a way to do that without giving away otherwise secure e-mail addresses... Not sure if it'll let me plug in fake ones... Should be easy to reproduce though... Just add two e-mail accounts, and try to send their incoming mail to separate folders via global filt...

[bug] Message Rules - Can't sort by different Mail Accounts
- Essential PIM Free (v5.57) - Windows XP Pro SP3 (32-bit Build 2600 xpsp_sp3_qfe.130704-0421) - Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) This would be an absolutely beautiful replacement for Thunderbird, which has just too many tangles to be at all useful with multiple accounts, and is, in trying to do too much...
